Transfer Bonds

Heflins Bail Bonds can also assist you with out-of-state bonds, called transfer bonds. Since 2007, we have helped many people with transfer bonds all over the U.S. When a friend or family member is incarcerated in another state, we are experienced and can help with the bond process. A transfer bond calls for another bail bond agent to get involved, and that agent is in the state and locality and serves the jail where the defendant is located. So please call us first; many bail bond companies do not know where to start or just do not do transfer bonds. Call the pro, and we will walk you through the process and ease your worried mind. The downside of a transfer bond is that it costs more because you must pay both bail bondsman for their services. Transfer bonds usually take more time to do than in-state bonds; it can take up to a couple of days to put a transfer bond all together. Electronic Monitoring

Here atHeflins Bail Bonds, we have experienced recently that the courts are giving more bonds that require some sort of electronic monitoring device (EMD). This means getting another party involved in the bond process. The SCRAM and GPS monitors are the two devices that are widely used in my service areas. The SCRAM bracelet is used to detect alcohol, and these have become a very common feature of bail bonds, especially for those who have alcohol-related criminal offenses such as driving while intoxicated (DWI). The GPS is placed on the ankle or wrist as well; these devices are used to keep track of the defendant's whereabouts. For some criminal offenses, such as sexual or soliciting cases with a juvenile involved and assault charges, the court will order the defendant to have GPS monitoring. The court will often order a defendant to have SCRAM or GPS in place/installed prior to release from jail; these electronic monitoring devices are installed and placed on the defendant's ankle and sometimes the wrist. Heflins Bail Bonds Bail Bonds can make that process simple by giving us a call and letting us set up and lead the way, coordinating with the jail, magistrate, and the electronic monitoring company. If bail is not needed but the defendant still needs the monitoring device, give us a call, and we can get the help you need quickly. Also, the bond process can take longer due to the availability of the company that installs the monitors.
